Yes! Absolutely.
A physical history must be completed to essentially determine if IV vitamin/nutrient replenishment is safe for the individual. This history will provide risk assessment of the individual as well as a list of the medications the person is currently prescribed. Supplements will also be evaluated. The severity of disease states will also be evaluated to discern appropriate candidacy for fluids and potential for reactions.
Individuals with kidney and active liver disease may not be appropriate candidates for some of the IV Nutritional Therapy blends. Congestive heart failure or end stage renal disease is a concern, as these individuals may not have a good outcome with additional fluids.
Labs may be indicated to evaluate liver and kidney health, as well as evaluate your genetic predisposition to tolerate vitamin C via intravenous infusion.
What membership offers, beyond a discount, is the clinician's ability to offer guidance on what might be most advantageous for you in your treatment or wellness plan. A much more extensive history and physical is involved for our primary care clients, as well as more extensive laboratory evaluations. This allows us to individualize our care and monitor progress and outcomes.
