There is a theme among integrative and functional health providers, even primary care clinicians who are independently employed to offer membership programs which consists of a monthly or annual fee. Sometimes this is referred to as a concierge fee and it is well-earned, as this comes with knowing your doctor is available to you by personal phone at any moment's notice. This might also offer discounts on supplements. Certainly there are perks, but this isn't our approach to members within Eden Family Practice.
We want to build a community, more so than a membership. We want a culture of wellness and within that people who are like-minded and seeking accountability and support in their own journey towards lifelong vitality. We want little ones whose parents appreciate the need for them to learn about their bodies and health and mindfulness so they can make empowered decisions into adulthood. We want clients who are ready to invest in themselves.
We also want to take this journey with you. Jeremy and I attend or teach yoga. We join you in mindfulness classes, read the book of the month and are personally challenged each Wellness Wednesday gathering. We are authentic and share our personal challenges. We show up for ourselves and hike the eight-mile trails. We drag our kids to yoga and on hikes to stomp in the creek even when they don't wanna. We want to work towards lifelong vitality so we can travel the world and feel healthy enough to climb mountains and swim in the sea without complaint or fear. We want to continue this work until our final days without worry about chronic disease. We engage in therapy so we can process our experiences and gain tools for working through the tougher challenges life throws at us. We do not want to be tethered to our work however. We take serious that life/work balance, so while we do watch closely our phone and our clients do call us about minor concerns, sometimes even major, and we can help you triage or offer zoom appointments many times on a moment's notice, we do not want to promise this. We want to be able to sit at the beach and leave our phone in the car. We want to waltz together without anxiety that our phones may buzz. We are not your doc in your pocket, but we are very accessible and we are eager to invest in you.
What does Membership with Eden offer?
We do ask that all new clients, or those who haven't been seen by Dr. Layne in the last three years, have two visits - the first via zoom to review your history and evaluate your daily habits and the second, a physical exam in the office. This is likely to also include review of your labs, potentially diagnostic testing, but you will receive a wellness plan and be invited to one or many groups, classes, and workshops to help you implement this plan into your life, as you are ready.
All adults are invited to our exclusive Wellness group here on the website, as well as one on Facebook, which offers educational units for optimizing health and community of support. Parents of pediatric clients and children with interest, are invited to join our membership group for the littles. Membership also offers access to private yoga and wellness groups, and discounts to our community classes. Members also receive discounts to Eden's educational programs, invites to private events such as yoga in the park and nature hikes. Active members are have exclusive opportunity to receive simple problem visits for $65 and consecutive annual visits are extended at the reduced price of $180. If you have a chronic disease for which we are offering an integrative and functional evaluation and management, these visits are $130. The greatest benefit is having a partner for your family in the investment in your health, and an advocate as healthcare rights and resources continue to evolve.
