We each have a body-wide collagenous web of fascia and when something happens to one part of the web, we can feel its effects elsewhere. Join me in this 90 minute fascia stretching class.

About the event
Fascia - or connective tissue, is what glues us together. It's a broad use of the word, but think of fascia like the extracellular net that holds us together. Think of an orange - you can segment it into pieces because each segment is divided by a clear yet strong sheet of tissue. Within these segments, the juice further segmented - forming the pulp - by this same type of tissue. It's exactly the same for us! We are segmented into different types of tissue, yet intimately connected by fascia.
In this yoga class, we will work with yoga balls to stretch the tissues, the fascia specifically. This class is gentle, mostly spent on the mat, but it is so, so relieving and you'll feel that for days! If you don't already own yoga balls, purchase a pair similar to these and you'll want them in a mesh bag or the peanut ball such as this. You will also want blocks and a bolster, or books and pillows.
