Women's Health Day

Women often avoid pap smears and breast exams, not just because these are inconvenient, but also because they are emotionally uncomfortable. These shouldn't be physically uncomfortable. Either way, I've been a Nurse-Midwife for nearly twenty-years and a maternity nurse for an additional ten years. My passion is creating safe space for my clients. It's weird to say I am really good at pelvic exams, but I am, largely because I care about my client's feeling safe.

I've cared for women with extensive trauma, with significant pain, young gals and our more senior ladies. I won't lecture you about having not having timely pap smears, if ever! I won't coerce you into doing recommended screenings. I am happy to help you discern your options for screenings, treatment, and follow-up care. My role is to educate. You are the expert in your care.
